Things to Do Near Providence Canyon State Park
Providence Canyon State Park
Eight miles of trails. Nine canyons. A hundred and fifty feet of pink, orange, red, and purple clay walls that have no business existing in Georgia. The Plumleaf Azalea blooms here in shades of burnt orange every July and August. There's no overnight lodging inside the park apart from Primitive campsites. Clay Cosmos is less than a mile from the trailhead — the closest place to sleep next to Georgia's Little Grand Canyon.
Richland Distilling Company
Down the road from the canyon, Richland Distilling Company has been growing sugarcane and hand-crafting single-estate rum since 1999. Forbes called it America's Best Rum. Garden & Gun, Food & Wine, and Robb Report agree. Stop in on your way through — it's one of those places that makes Southwest Georgia feel like a secret the rest of the country hasn't figured out yet.
White Oak Pastures
A six-generation, 158-year-old farm in nearby Bluffton that turned a dying Georgia town into something worth driving to. Regenerative farming, pasture-to-plate meals, farm tours, and a General Store unlike anything else in Southwest Georgia.
Pasaquan
Discover one of America's most extraordinary art environments just outside Buena Vista, Georgia. Pasaquan is a stunning seven-acre visionary art site created by Eddie Owens Martin, known as St. EOM, over the last three decades of his life. There's something weirdly wonderful for all of our guests, art lovers included.
Omaha Brewing Company
Just down the road in Omaha, Georgia, you'll find a craft brewery worth the short drive. Omaha Brewing Company is committed to the art of crafting beer, blending tradition and creativity to produce an unmatched selection of local brews made especially for South Georgia.
Florence Marina
Fifteen miles from the canyon, 45,000 acres of open water and the self-proclaimed Bass Fishing Capital of the World. Lake Eufaula and neighboring Florence Marina State Park turn a canyon trip into a full Southwest Georgia adventure — fishing, boating, bald eagles, and a history museum you won't see coming.
